Sometimes the timing of things works out! Just as I was feeling the pressure to be either brilliant or funny or both for the inaugural post of my new Substack site-my historic sites being Lasken’s Log (https://laskenlog.blogspot.com/), Harry the Human (http://harrythehuman.harrythehumanpoliticalthoughtsfrombeyondthepale.com/), and Gregory’s Army of the Young (http://www.gregorysarmyoftheyoung.com/)- I figured it out! Regular readers will know what I’m talking about. I figured out why we can’t see beyond a quite limited shell, even though we are desperate to see beyond that shell, hoping that would help us understand why we find ourselves in this universe, as opposed to…well, a different one.
It doesn’t seem that animals or any other conscious beings on our planet feel this way. They’re too busy being part of a world they were designed for to obsessively ask, “What’s it all about?” But in the course of life-long careers correcting design flaws we humans have lots of motivation to puzzle over things.
Full disclosure: Like everyone else I have no idea what’s going on. But I do have a credible theory explaining why we can’t see beyond our limiting shell and thus cannot understand what’s going on.
Let me pause to concede that humans are of course terribly clever, finding many hidden formulas of the universe. In physics, for instance, scientists figured out how to make plutonium, an unstable substance that normally requires the power of an exploding sun to create. That’s really clever. However, we have not figured out why, for the last three hundred years, we have been in a race to dominate the earth to the point that we now threaten to blow it up. If this were a science fiction story (which sometimes I suspect it is), what motivation would be given to the species that worked consciously to blow itself up? And why- returning to my initial question- can we not see beyond our shell, to understand what we are part of and what we should be doing other than blowing ourselves up?
This is the very question I have answered! I humbly submit my conclusions here:
We are unable to understand more than we do because of interference from a five-dimensional Ricci flat bouncing cosmology. Or, to put it in layman’s terms: Our vision is occluded by diatomic ghost condensate dark energy.
I know many of you will ask, “What is your evidence?” Though I admit it is somewhat circumstantial, my evidence has been deemed “credible” by an AI which inspected it using pseudo-Namo-Goldstone boson quintessence rays. I don’t know how much more I can do as far as “proving” my thesis.
Here’s another important thing: Harry the Human has taken off on a long journey. He said little about it other than that it includes one airplane ride, and that he will send me updates when he can (I will post them here).
Finally, we felt that Robert the Telepathic Gila Monster, Harry’s faithful friend in the desert (see Harry’s blog at the link above) could not be left alone because he has been exiled from his community for telepathically communing with a human. Robert is staying with me for the moment. He will be posting on this site from time to time.
[Update, 4//5/25: I've had some skeptical feedback since posting my theory on the limitations inherent in the human intellect. If the arguments above weren't enough to convince you, consider that when you fine-tune a chain of thought, the key and value weights change so that the steganography happens in the KV cache. I would think that would settle the validity of my theory.]
